I read on Video Help that Onida BDX1110 is a replica of Kogan Blu ray player and that the blu ray region can be changed with the remote - Can anybody confirm the same? I would prefer personal experience rather than speculation and opinions please.

The onida blueray player you are mentioning is on sale in Ezone only for today for Rs. 6990. It is a promotion offer and they told me that it will become region by pressing a few buttons on the remote.
I am taking my home DVD, VCD, some pirated DVD and USB to ezone today and play all of them so that i get convinced. They have agreed to the same and will come home and install it also.

Well, there's absolutely no information on their site for this player, unless I overlooked it.

Hi Friends,
Region Unlocking Bluray and DVD
1. Turn the Blu-Ray on and open the Tray Door

2. Then press the following number combination on the remote 9113
This will bring up a screen which will allow you to change the region.

3. You have the choice of entering a region code for both Blu-Ray and DVD. I recommend you only change the code for the Blu-Ray component and leave the DVD box empty.
You will need to scroll to the second box and enter either 1 2 or 3 depending on the region you wish to use.

4. Save the settings by pressing OK and you should be able to watch discs from your selected region.

Assuming it's true, then it would be quite user friendly to use "1" for "A", "2" for "B" and "3" for "C", as remotes do have numerical keys and generally not alphabet keys

^^. The player will revert back to region C once you power off it. The region change is not permanent.
