Hi Folks,
I am planning to purchase a Hometheater under 35k, When I enquired about Onkyo HTS 4505 in bangalore, they are saying it would cost 39k and as of now no stock as well. Is it worth buying Onkyo HTS 4505 at 39k and is the price quoted right in Bangalore???

Hey Naveen, you can probably try enquiring at Modern World (Domlur & Kalyan Nagar) as they also deal with Onkyo products. IMHO 39k is too much for what HTS 4505 has to offer. Incase you have not demoed already you can try other HTiBs like Denon or Yamaha. All the best with your purchase.

39k is high, 30k to 32k is a good deal. check with all dealers and with online stores
around 20 dealers are available in bangalore (onkyoindia.com/contactus/dealers)

If you are ready to pay 39k, think about a separate buy
AV receiver first and a cheap 5.1 speaker set then upgarde the speakers
hts 4505 comes with a plastic glossy finish speaker enclosure.
wooden enclosures are better always for speakers

39K is definitely on the higher side. You can also check for the new Pioneer HTIB which will also include front towers for a similar price.

picked the TX SR 313 + HT528 speakers + HDMI cable for 45k from Modern World, Old airport road... guess it was a good deal...

Thanks Naveen... yet to connect the surround speakers to the rear of my seating arrangement..
will experiment and post my reviews in a week
