Hi

I don't know how many of you are aware - Onkyo India has official launched the CP-1050 .

The product is available in India - MRP is 45000/-

Some key features that I found on the website
  1. Direct-Drive System
  2. Gold-Plated RCA Phono Output Terminals
  3. Selectable 33 1/3 and 45 rpm
  4. Signal-to-Noise Ratio Over 60 dB

What are our experts view on this product .

A lot of folks missed this turntable at the recent What Hi Fi Show in my city.

It looks well made. Will be interesting to know how it compares on sound to a Pro-Ject Carbon, Rega RP1.

not impressed , the base of the tonearm is a dead giveaway
This is just another hanpin in vintage drag.

You're better off buying an Audio Technica DD or U turn orbit if you want a new TT

Had a look in the HI Fi show. Eye catchy vintage looks and finish... But seems very light and not rigid like vintage TT's. Lot of negative reviews on net. Personally my expectation is much more for the money. I am not impressed other than the vintage look.

Greenhorn, I don't think the 220v version of uturn audio is available yet? And wouldn't there be the problem of the 50 - 60 hertz thingy?
Cheers!

I am not impressed with most of the new Turntables in the market today. I have heard a few including some which have been reviewed well by some critics but they do not seem to have the warmth of the old Turntables.
