Online Shopping a TV from Letsbuy

If someone's bought a TV from letsbuy, can you let me know if it was comparable to buying from a retailer? For e.g., for Sony were the freebies (like glasses, DTH coupons etc.) also included? Also, what about the range of date of manufacture?

Frankly speaking, buying a Sony from Letsbuy seems to be a very valuable proposition :clapping:

Dont worry, I have done many purchases from letsbuy and always received a prompt service. Take COD option and get all your items verified and pay the monies.

Not TV but I bought Dell 22 inch LCD monitor from them. It came in very good and safe packaging. They delivered next day since we are in the same city.

He specifically asked about TV. Any experience in buying TV or such large fragile items ?. I am also have bought many items on line but never such large items like TV.

I think the issues are involved are reliability of the supplier ( in a sense that we will not dispatch any defective or used items) and whether the courier will handle the items carefully. We still prefer to buy such large items by touch and feel.

I have gifted a 32 in LCD tv thru lets buy and bought 2 LED monitors. All arrived in a very safe packaging .

Factory box was sealed again with thermocole double layer and bubble wrapped on top. Sticker as fragile item all over.

How much time does it take for delivery - post payment ?
Also - how does the wall mount installation work in this scenario ?

one of the other ways to get some additional satisfaction is to send a e mail to customer support at letsbuy.com (And may be try flipkart.com) and the replies that you would get from cust support at letsbuy.com would be in writing .
My worries always has been with the support when things go wrong ........cheers

Another issue is if door delivery is available at your home. Since I am in suburbs, door delivery is not easily available - I usually have to pick large items from courier office or godown.

I have posted my findings online on my blog for benefits of others. After escalation to letsbuy customer service and to CEO of letsbuy, it got resolved and a new unit was delivered as a replacement.

Appreciate the time taken to explain the situation and actions taken in detail. Its also good to know that you were shipped a replacement and the probable reason for the folly explained.
Overheads from buyer's end notwithstanding, it goes on to say that big-ticket e-commerce is slowly coming of age in India - lets not forget the excellent packaging (also reported by other members), timely dispatch and replacement guarantee.
Hopefully, incidents like these are noted by the sellers and appropriate corrective actions initiated.
