They are from Bangalore - I bought mine from them. Mr. Farooq is the name of the person who I dealt with.
I have a set of Genelecs with me right now - G3/8030C + 7040 Sub combo. This is my primary stereo near field system - just runs off my Laptop through a pro DAC & wiim Pro as a secondary source.
I personally prefer this system over all others I have in house or that have come and gone since I have had the Genelecs. This includes speakers in all sorts of price band (both higher and lower) - from brands like KEF, Wharfedale, Q Acoustics, Fyne, Audiovector etc.

I have used genelec 8040b in my bedroom for 7 years ...
They are very good for their price for stereo usage...
Difficult to compete with.

My uncle has 8341a.
They are phenomenal.. do use glm kit.
I did his 5.1 HT using
3 x 8341a
2 x 8330a
1 x 7360a
Yamaha cxa5200.
He's very happy with it..
Usage - both music and movies.

My room is 10x13 Ft where these speakers sit.
In my experience, a subwoofer is an extremely critical part of any stereo specially with bookshelves. Please note I am NOT at all a bass head, but it will be physically extremely difficult if not impossible for a small 5-6 inch driver to dip down to 40Hz odd, where a lot of low bass in a lot of music sits (think bass guitar, keyboard/piano etc). And this is the stuff you can hear not the "feel part of things".
I also personally prefer to run Subwoofers with a cut-off around 80-90Hz instead of running them full range - I think Genelec subs have a default at 85Hz. I look at it as a third speaker - So your bookshelves are doing 80Hz+ without stressing themselves out & the sub is doing all the work below. So nothing in there is overreaching beyond their comfort zone.
Yes, so I FEEL - regardless of the size of your room, if you want to do justice to your music, a subwoofer is critical
Just in my opinion & personal experience. 8341As are a different beast, if budget is not an issue, there is no discussion there.
Below is one of the initial graphs of how these speakers behave in my room along with the sub. I could eventually tame the two peaks as well around the 45Hz & 120Hz.
Unable to find the graph before the sub, which basically had the sound drop off steeply below 70Hz.
Totally agree, with small bookshelf's for stereo, low end will definitely be missing due to small drivers and cabinet. A good sub is essential in such setup imo.My room is 10x13 Ft where these speakers sit.

In room response of genelec reaches below 40hz
Expect around 35hz extension..

But yes . With sub you get very good placement flexibility..
And genelec integrates beautifully with its subwoofers...

Is the sound of genelecs on the analytical side of things being a studio monitor?
I do not find that to be the case. What you get is a colorless sound - no real "sound signature". One of the most beautiful aspect of such speakers is, they will respond very well to EQ/DSP and also it will be easier to correct for the room issues. IJust using the DSP on the speakers & sub - I can get them to sound right in any room in my house!

Clear and very resolving especially the highs and true to the source. Basically, it leads to analyse the music during listening. Perfect for recording, mixing and mastering. This is my understanding.

Being a high end studio monitor.. these sound absolutely fatigue free.. and have a very good frequency response.
Has a wider sweet spot because of being coaxial..

Thank you.Being a coaxial I assume it is good for mid-field listening, say, 6 feet away from the speakers.

They work near field also.. even at a metre one is going to get coherent sound
