Pairing of Polk Audio RM6750 with Yamaha 477

My amp is mostly going to be the Yamaha 477 and my main usage is movies and tv

Polk RM 6750 is an all time best seller from polk audio, officially stopped, but still in production. 2 way speaker design, dedicated centre channel, ...wall mounting will give an added depth in mid bass... surprise for a speaker of that size, Good sounding. dialogues are lively with good timbre...The subwoofer is slightly under powered ( 50W rms 100W peak..!), good for room sizes from 10f x 16f, 12f x 18f ...etc. yamaha RXV 477 is a good match.I felt with pioneer VSX 523/823 etc they sounds much more in sync .. but with a tad brighter treble.., try it . cheers

Three days back I auditioned RM 6750 with Yamaha 477 at ProFx and Boy... what a performance it delivered. I immediately fell for it. After couple of Music videos, I saw clip from Batman Returns and let me tell u the detail given by the center and surrounds was mind blowing. Crisp, clear, and good balance between Lows and Highs. IMO the combo can trump any mid range system.

based on my budget, my only options I guess are the JBL 500 or POlk 6750

Finally decided to go with the Yamaha 577 amp and the polk audio tl1600 speakers . Bought are being ordered from Dubai and my relative is bringing them here to Pune.
