Panasonic 2012 models...

I hate it when they compare 2011 models :( - *makes me cry*

Mate, you got to be happy with what you have specially in case of electronics as they tend to become obsolete very fast.

I have bought a 2010 model (VT20) in 2011 at 50% of the price and am very happy with it as i dont find any major features lacking on the same.

On the contrary with usage the reproduction from set is getting better each growing day.............done 300 hours so far.......long way to go

Iam noticing this too. Was planning to start a thread on the topic. Till now, i've been rejecting it as placebo.
Either it is growing on me or it is really becoming better. Want owner comments.

Panasonic does this kind of marketing every year. Just downplay the previous year models which they were praising the whole of previous year.

Honestly though, While Neo PDP (2010) was an innovation and big step from 2009 models, Neo Plasma (2011) was very minor update but they showcased pictures like the ones in the link last year too. Nothing much in real life.

While agree 2012 PDPs will have slight improvement, I dont think it will be in the range mentioned in the pictures. Will have to wait and see.

Next big step will be to move away to a different tech than neopdp. IMO, It ain't gonna happen as OLED is around the corner.
