Dear All

I have seen Panasonic Plasma TVs in the showroom and was very pleased but could not buy due to lighting condition in my house. The sales man suggested me to go for Pana LED TVs....I am preferring 40 inch but I guess Pana does not have 40, they hv 42...
Anyways, does anyone know the performance of Panasonic LED TVs like ET50 and ET5 ? how r they compared to other LED TVs in the market ?

for me, 3D is NOT mandatory...

Let me know yous view please !!!!!

Thanks....

40" or 42" - hardly any difference.

Panasonic LED TVs use IPS panels that give better angle of view but sacrificing contrast in return. They are as good as LG TVs in this respect. Sony/Samsung and others that use VA panels will have better contrast but will suffer from angle of view issues. I will say that Sony, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba and Sharp are the well known brands and you cannot go wrong with any one. It just depends upon your need, how critical PQ is to you and a set to set comparison withing the price bracket.

How was the led compared to its peer brands? I mean , regarding specific aspects of PQ?

inspite of its low contrast, it did quite well when I compared HD Videos, Blu Ray content with Sony HX750, Samsung 8 series...

I was surprised my [email protected] though, Plasma hold an edge..but comes with its own set of -ves (higher power consumption, IR at least in my case)

I bought ET5D 3 months back. Very happy about the purchase..

I guess there is 10 k difference between ET5D and ET50 D..but I feel the PQ is not that much difference..

Hi friend,
Can you write your viewing experience on the panasonic 42 ET5D TV . Im planning to select between LG 42LM6200 and this one. I want to see youtube app also fullscreen. In the demo shop, the panasonic was not good at loading the app etc.
How is the default speaker ?
How is wifi stability ? LG complaints are on the wifi side.

Less computer oriented folks will be using it to shows cartoons and songs to the child at home. So I thought I wil lcreate a playlist and they can use it easily from the tv menu.

Now, Im thinking of one idea. I asked the same to Panasonic sales person and he said NO. Instead of youtibe, I will keep the files in a mass storage. And thrugh some app in the TV, I create a media playlist , so that I can customize the playback sequence. Do you know any tv has such an app ?
