Panasonic TH-P42X30D

Hi all,

Only today I bought a brand new 42' panny x30d from panasonic showroom in banashankari for 34,900. I'd like to thank this forum members as it was very helpful in my decision making. I was confused between x30d and u30d though. But I decided to spend that extra on a home theater. I'll be posting some pics of the new tv in a few hours. As of now, I need some help regarding menu settings and HT. I am planning to go for Sony but i don't know which is the best one in my range(10k).

First of Congrats on your new purchase :clapping:

I wanted to buy P42U30D (FHD w/o 3D). But Panasonic Brand Shop, Koramangala, told me that, Pan'nic has stopped manufacture of this model, due to various issues....

Are you saying that Banashankari shop has this model available? Since you would have also compared these to models, please tell me, if you were actually able to make out any difference?

Yep. u30d is available in banashankri pana showroom. In fact the sales guy told tat the price has dipped.
Yes there is a difference, but it's not a huge diff. u30d is priced at 43k in blore and i thought let me invest tat in HT. Btw if the viewing distance is more than even 5 ft, trust me x30d looks better.

yes freak ur right..i also just confirmed from Banashankari branch that U30 is available but its not U30D, its U30S....new model.....production of U30D is stopped he said and this was confirmed by area manager also...the price quoted by him is 44k...

Apart from Full HD is there any other better feature compared to X30D?
