Panasonic VIERA TH-L42E30D or Samsung LED TV 40 D5500

Hello Folks,

Hope all of you had great Diwali and enjoying your weekend.

I am planning to buy LED TV shortly. It's been pending for a while. I am confused between Panasonic VIERA TH-L42E30D and Samsung LED TV 40 D5500.

My queries are:

1. Which is best among two?

2. How is Panasonic LED TV? Performance, PQ, Panel, etc?

3. Samsung supports all formats in USB (MKV, MP4, etc). Does this Panasonic model does support those formats? Is Panasonic support DTS audio?

4. May I know what is the best price you guys have got for above models?

Panasonic makes gr8 plasma but when i comes to led tv samsung and sony are the masters Personally for 2d led i feel sony ex520 and samsung d5500 are both excellent.

On this diwali, I had researched 40 leds for my bro. Initially I was under impression as everybody else that sammy are best. But, As it turned out I discovered panny was far better than sammy. Particularly in motion clarity panny is better than even 6 series sammy. My pecking order in 40 2d Led would be Panny 42e30d, lg 5500, then sammy 5500 if you are hell bent on a sammy.

Sammy is a bit better on smart tv features and media format compatibility. But e30 also supports 1tb hdd and mkv playback. The best thing about e30 is 100 hz motion pro which gives awesome motion clarity.

these companies are robbing people in the name of LEDs. in fact, LCD should be out of market and LEDs are supposed to be very cheap.

Does this Panny model support DTS Audio? I know LG 5500 doesn't support.

Samsung LED's support DTS audio, I am able to play DTS audio in my D5000 LED. It plays almost all formats, picture quality and upscaling features are also great. I recommend Samsung, you will not need a media player.

These freebies must have been supplied by Samsung to the dealers per TV set right .? So they may have them still .

Want to buy a 55" LED ....
