Panny 42X50 Buy - Price in chennai?

Dear Folks,

I m desperately hunting for Panny 42x50D througout the city (Chennai). While doing so, i was extremly shocked by the high prices quoted by shops here in chennai while in other cities like Pune & Delhi, the price is very well below 44K.

i enquired in the following shops last week:
Panasonic Showroom T.Nagar - Rs.47,000
Panasonic Showroom Anna Salai - Rs.45,500
Panasonic Showroom Ambattur - Rs.46,500
Viveks, Vadapalani - Rs.46,000
Vasanth & Co - Rs.46,400
Croma - Rs.47,000

But online Flipcart price - Rs.42,650, Ebay.in - Rs.43,000 to 44,000.
All the above quotes includes 3 Yrs Panny warranty.
I am hesitant to buy online since one of Panny showroom guy told me tat Panny wont authorise warranty offered by online retailers liek flipcart.

Any 1 from chennai aware of price here for Panny 42x50, Any good offer for the above said model. Anybody interested in Group?

The rates are slightly high (45k is not too high), What is the price they are quoting for 42XT50?
 
Prices compared to other cities are really high particularly 4-5 months after the product launch.., 45K is the lowest price quoted by Panny showroom, all others have quoted 46K & above..,

51K has been quoted for 42XT50 which incl. 3yrs warranty + HT Player + 1 set of 3D glasses.

CC is not supposed to know the price either. Also their website does not quote MRPs whereas Samsung, LG, Sony all do... dont know where Panasonic is heading to...

And their website is more informative and well designed. Panasonic UK US website pages are still good compared to Asian website.
 
Thanks guys for all your response. Again I have enquired one of panny showroom personnel. He confirmed tat panny will authorise warranty even if it is purchased thru online retailers.

Any1 aware of any pricing details or best offers in Chennai. Thank you once again guys.
 
I would suggest you to get the TV from flipkart as it a reliable site. I have experienced the services of the same and found it to be really trustworthy....

Thank you for ur suggestion. Even i hv thought of bung from flipcart as it is more reliable compared to crappy ebay. But flipcart is retailing 42x50 only in delhi,gurgaon and pune. I m desperatly waiting for flipcart to sell in my city chennai.

Yes i am interested in "group buy".., thats y i opened this thread. But i would like to limit my purchase to 42X50. I cant buy ST/GT Series.

Pls send PM with your mail / phone number in case we can go ahead with purchase. Did any1 shown interest to you in group buying.

Pls give your impression / suggestion about the site "buytheprice.com", seems to be an Hyderabad Based retailer like Flipcart & Ebay...

While Ebay retails Panny 42x50D for Rs.43600,
Flipcart @ Rs.43600 (available only in delhi, gurgaon)
"Buy the Price" is retailing the same model for Rs.42,200 (incl of all taxes)..

Pls advice me on buying from this site. Is Rs.42.2K, a best price for this model here in chennai..?

I have checked a lot of online retailers, they are priced less, but I am still sceptical buying a tv online, though I have bought a lot of other hardware online.

I am also little skeptical in investing huge amount on this online retailers.. Thats Y i hv opened this question to our forum members.. Lets see the response..
 
Why don't you negotiate with the showroom at Anna Salai? I feel that for a large item, it is risky with e-tailer, even as reputed as Flipkart.
 
I do not understand why the X50 is priced at 43-45K.
last years X30 sold for 38K initially then dropped to 35K.
unjustified pricing for an HD plasma.
samsung meanwhile maintains the same price, in fact cheaper even after adding an ambient light filter.
 
In Tamilnadu the VAT rate for LCD and Plasma TVs is 14.5% and in Delhi the VAT rate is 5% with no Octroi, so prices are always cheaper in Delhi.

Did you check the price at the Panasonic showroom in Anna Nagar? Not sure if the shop is still around, I got some stuff from them last year and they offered the best price in town.

For buying a LCD/Plasma Flipkart is the only store that I would trust. You may have pay a little more when your buying from a local retailer but it saves you from all the hassles that you may have to go through if some thing goes wrong in an online buy.
