Hi Guys,
I have speakers which I want to use as a second system.I had homed onto the Rega Brio-R,which unfortunately is currently not available in the country.I had liked the tonality and the sound signature of that amp, in spite of it somewhat lacking punch.I have read the reviews of the Marantz PM KI Pearl Lite amp. These were very encouraging. But I have learnt lessons the hard way,and I simply am not impressed by specs and paper reviews.Anyone who had heard this amp or owns it would be in a better position to let me know about it,especially when compared to the Rega Brio-R.
I would be using it with speakers (FS)having 89 DB sensitivity,Power handling 150 W,Imp- 8 Ohms,Freq resp. 40hz -150khz.I listen to all genres of music.
Thanks.

If you are looking at the pearl lite, I guess your budget is in the Rs 75 K range. Some options that I can think of in this budget which are avaliable in India

- Exposure 2010 integrated
- Quad Elite integrated amplifier
- Acoustic Portrait swara pre-power combo
- Higher end NAD and CA integrated
- Arcam
- Creek
- Musical Fidelity

Am sure there are many more options. But hearing all of them (especially in the place where you live) would be a challenge. Best bet would be to travel to Delhi/Mumbai for auditions!

Best,

Hi..

I have this amp. Very good look. Connected with Kef iQ5 speaker. Very good sound. Excellent stereo image. With my speaker bass is little less and Treble is little high. Detail is average. .. Overall very good amplifier.
