Philips 242 - Hum not going away

Hi all,
I have a perfect working Philips electronic 242 turntable which is at present connected to Philips hi fi stero system. I would now wamt to connect my turntable to my bose amplifier. Can anyone guide me how to do it in simple language?

To connect a TT with an amp, a pre-requisite is a phono input on the amp (which signifies that your amp has an in-built phono preamplifier). Check if your bose amp has a phono input. If it does'nt, you would require a phono premplifier (like the Cambridge phono preamp from FM KiranPS which is currently on the For Sale by Owner classifieds section). You can then connect your TT to the external phono preamplifier box and connect the output of the phono preamplifier to the input of your boss amp. Its as simple as it gets. Hope this helps. Thanks.
