Philips LED New 8000/9000 Series.

Apart from LG, I didn't see how others are better than Philips when it comes to service :)

I concur. The service of Sony and Samsung are no better.

I purchased a Philips CRT TV 10 years back for my parents, and it was an awesome value for money. Its PQ can put even the new Sony, Samsung & LG CRT TVs to shame. Looks like they later closed down their production units and are now outsourcing the production. I don't know the impact on their TV quality now.

Philips service is outsourced to videocon which also does servince for Electrolux,Kenstar .From what i hear its definitely at the bottom in after sales and support.

Sounds like sagarmc0040 is running an Ad of Philips and Videocon is not the manufacturer but just provides service. From my sources at Philips and Videocon - since the time Philips (India) was taken over by Videocon quality and service has deteriorated. All parts are directly imported from China and assembled in India. Service is poor and spares are not readily available, even in the company. Integration of DDB is not 100% successful and has integral problems with it.

I wish all the best to my friend who has recently bought this product.

Just to add my experience, my brother bought 32 inch phillips 720p tv around 5 years ago. The PQ is very good and no problems till date.:)

This Diwali there is new Philips DDB model
Its 46PFL8777
Its 46 LED TV with easy 3D,Full HD
Its with offer of free 4 pairs of 3D goggles
and 2yrs subscription of Videocon d2h worth 13000

I am interested to buy this can anyone who owns Philips TV share his/her experience about PQ and service? I have been reading a lot negative about Philips as its manufactured by Videocon
2.there are few issues of DDB tuner hangs quite often
3.if DDB tuner has any problem one has to contact Videocon customer support
