Till date I have 10 DVDs of HDDCS
1) DEi version x1*
2) Shemaroo version x3
3) Eros version x2
4) video sound version x1 (its there in the pic)*
5) Bollywood Entertainment version x1 (its there in the pic)*
6) Pathfinder version with the English title x1 (its there in the pic)*
7) Spark version x1 (its there in the pic)
* these DVDs have the exactly same picture & sound quality
The best were the ones starred.
Shemaroo version is cropped and has dull colors. Audio is good 5.1
Eros version is 100% crap. Cropped, dull colors and fake 5.1 audio
Here's some comparison between DEI and Shemaroo...

I have the Shemaroo version and totally disappointed with the video, but, just keeping it for the audio.
The DEi version looks stunning and widescreen as well... Is it available for purchase anywhere?

Hi! Unfortunately, the DEi version isn't available any longer. However, the English version is just the re packed version of the DEi disc.
Its available at amazon.com - Amazon.com: Straight From the Heart (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam): Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram Gokhale, Smita Jaykar, Rekha Rao, Zohra Segal, Rajeev Verma, Keneth Desai, Ghanshyam Nayak, Vinay Pathak, Sheeba Chaddha, Sanjay Lee
Its the exact copy of the DEi version with no changes.
The audio at DEi is even stronger with more bass. It sounds excellent! Shemaroo has a soft audio with very little bass. Shemaroo is even shriller in terms of audio. That's because of PAL speedup pitch alteration.
Buy this version and you won't regret.
Just stay away from the horrendous Eros disc.

This DVD is exactly the same as the DEi version.
Its surprising that even after 10 years any version can't come close to the DEi version. DEi versions of all movies are better than all alternative versions available (a few exceptions, of course)
