I am having following connection
1)htpc(msi n280)---hdmi---denon713-----hdmi----lg led monitor(not TV)
2)htpc(msi n280)-----dvi------lg led monitor(used! When avr is switched off

The problem is when m using 2nd option the picture quality is good
But when using first one the pic quality drops down looked washed .
Plz tell.what may be the reason ..
I have just installed xbmc on my PC ...also plz tell the best setting for it??

Check if denon is doing any picture processing by default. Disable it in the avr.
Or ,video passthrough via denon is not good.

I have seen AVRs degrading PQ even if it is only passthrough.
But I am presuming Denon might not do it. Though I cannot tell anything about this model.
Just check any video settings on AVR.

I think your AVR has audio return channel feature, why not use HTPC to DVI to TV for picture viewing and switch to TV mode in AVR for amplifying the audip only. This way you get the best of both worlds

My suggestion - buy nVidia GPU like GT610 or 620. Use the DVI out to connect to the display and the hdmi out to AVR for audio. I used my GT520 this way.
