Hi
Seriously considering BDP 44o. But wanted 2 know 2 things
1. Does it play DVD`s from all regions ?
2. how is the DVD up scaling . Is the video quality so superior that one can invest that extra buck?
I have finally purchased that..
.
congrats. Is it region C ? what was the damage ? who was the dealer ? How do you rate is an audio player ?
thx.
Thanks , please let me know about the upscaling once u view a DVDI have finally purchased that..
1. It plays dvd from all regions
2. Have not explored DVD upscaling yet . have played BD only.
apart from video quality, it is a universal player and plays super audio CD and DVD-A as well as FLAC and MKV. it also plays from NTFS drive. there is app available on both android and apple store for remote control.
Look on the back plate. BD Region (A, B or C) will be shown in a hexagon. DVD region (1 to 6) will be shown in a circle.

I am planning to buy panasonic DMP-BDT220 or Sony BDP-S190.[/Qi
i have never found cnet reviews or ratings useful.both sony and pana options look good.not all models are launched in India as it is still lagging behind in bd world market
Hi,
Has anybody tried the new bdp150 from pioneer- it boasts of similar features and can play flac through USB as well. Comes for around 12 k in grey market. I was also looking at bdp 440 but it seems it doesn't support flac ! Can anyone confirm this ?
Am facing a similar dilemma - a decent cd player with USB flac and mp3 support without having to turn the tv on !
Cheers!
