Does anyone own this here? Specs-wise this seems to be better than most models, especially the components used for audio output. Comes with 2 HDMI outputs (one for pure audio and the other one a standard AV terminal). Its a universal player (plays DVDA and SACD along with 3D BD).

Is it worth Rs. 18000/- without bill & warranty? Or is it better to go in for Kaiboer K860i at around Rs. 28000/ ?

I will be connecting these to my Denon 1912 and LG 47 3D TV.

Would appreciate any helpful inputs.

Whether it is worth or not , with that kind of budget I would look for better players. Spending 28k on a product like kaiboer , no way....

You can import a modded BDP from abroad or ask a friend who is returning from abroad to carry for you.

Oppo , Dune HD max and Popcorn hour C200 with BD will be better options.:)

Thanks Kittu. I already have Dune Prime 3.0 with BD drive. It does not support 3D and hence this search. Using PS3 for 3D viewing for now, but it does not support HD audio for 3D.

By the way, I just read a user's review of Kaiboer K860i. In a nutshell, he says to stay away from it.

What do you think of Pioneer BDP-LX55?

I will read some more about Pio before responding :). But if you can wait for some more time Sigmatech is launching its new 3d based chipsets in Jan. Hopefully many media players will come out with the chipset including complete HD audio support. Are you sure ps3 does not support HD audio for 3d? Do you have any specific format that you need to test. Check out the himedia 900B specs too.

PS3 is useless as far as media formats is concerned. It plays very few. It downmixes hd audio into stereo for 3D discs. Its fine with 2D discs and can bitstream HD audio streams (I have updated to firmware ver 4).

I am looking for a "combo" unit like Dune Prime 3.0 that can also play 3D discs and media.

Thanks for informing of Sigmatech chipset. Looks like its worth waiting. I can manage with PS3 for now.

thats a good decision you took. isnt your PS3 jailbroken ? you could use 'showtime' for PS3 for better playback options. if not jailbroken, i guess PS3 media server could help you a lot, esp. during this 'waiting period' :)
