Pioneer DV610 not responding

Hi all,

My Pioneer 610 dvd player refuses to start.
The HDMI indicator (small red indicator light) alone lights up when the player is plugged to AC supply.
There's a DVD inside the tray, but even the tray open function is not happening.
Anybody else faced the same problem? Gurus plz help..

The player has gone to lock mode. plz check for the unlock code in the manual. i had faced the same prob.

Not faced this problem, but try unplugging it for 1-2 min and try again..

Try unplugging all cables and connections from the player and connect back ..

Can you recollect how you did that?
The manual doesn't mention anything about locking except the "parental lock"

I tried resetting the player by pressing STOP and STANDBY switches together, but that didn't work.

Not faced this problem, but try unplugging it for 1-2 min and try again..

i took the player to sony service center, those ppl demanded for the manual and set it rite in 10 mins..

You can reset all models of Pioneer DVD Players with the following method:
1) Switch the player into standby and empty the disc tray.
2) Using the front panel buttons, hold down the STOP button and press STANDBY/ON to switch the player back on.

How do i empty the disc tray?
the eject button too seems to be locked.
manually tried to open the tray but it's bit complicated
as the tray is not a single tray like in other brand DVD players.

Disc removal methode at no power supply.
1. Slide the Rack Loading (White) toward the arrow direction by using a minus driver to release the lock. (Refer to Fig. 1)
2. Manually open the Tray.
NOTE: Please strongly pushing Rack Loading (White) to release the lock because the tray doesnt go out easily.

i was able to open the disc tray and take out the disc
with the help of the diagram provided by you.

But sadly the reset is not happening.
i tried "hold down the STOP button and press STANDBY/ON to switch the player back on" but no success.:sad:

is it time to take it to a service centre?
