Pioneer or Yamaha

I am looking at yamaha 2190 or pioneer vx531 with p40 or yamaha 1840. I am also want to know about yamaha 1840 upscaling feature. Does it make any difference in hd channels. Auto calibration feature is missing in vx531 which is present in 2190. Please ur valuable input are welcome.

I would pick the one with auto calibration right away. It's a great feature to get one started with setting up the system.

Today demo of onkyo 3800 which is big disappointment. It sounded bad. It lacks rich sound and boring. I watched MI3 and few songs in blueray but still no use. I enquired they said its new receiver & everything configured well. But my SUHD samsung tv sounds way better in quality but just 40w.

Then I went reliance digital for 2910 demo. I sounded way better with rich treble and dynamic sound. They also said going to open denon setup in reliance in few weeks.

Marant 1504 receiver was there as last piece with polk audio speaker but demo not avaliable today becoz they were cleaning up the room.

I want to go for yamaha 1840 but it doesnt hv prologic II.

I hv harmom kardom II sticks for musix & it sounds dynamic &mind-blowing. I am expecting that type of sound quality for home theater.
