Hey Guys ,

I need expert reviews ,

my requirements are Ocassionaly movies , also interested in 3D games(PS3) .

I have checked various plasmas and got confused .

1.) saw 42 inch .. samy E490 -( can go for VFM,also considering since hd ready so not very much observable difference from 51 inch )
2.) moved to 51 samy E490 - when saw this :-) - ( Have doubt , should i go for it or not , since its a HD ready )

Will it make difference , if i go for 51 E550 , speacially for 3D gaming .
or any other Plasma recommended .

I'm also planning to buy it for 3D PC gaming. Should work with PS3 as well.

Do not go for plasma for gaming purposes. There is a high chance of image retention because of static content in games.

Okay , so recommendation is not to go for plasma .

Input lag .. for LED ..will it affect racing games or so .. any comments .

Yesterday i saw LG LM6700 - 47 inch ..though it look good to eyes with HD content when other panels are running with SD in showroom so counld not compare . - Any comments on the set please .

Any other recommended LED if not plasma for Gaming . Please help as i want to finalize asap .

Thanks for replies .

Image retention would be an issue only during first 100 hours or so. It can't be a permanent problem as even DTH viewing involves static logos. By that logic we cant even watch a movie which would be 2-3 hours long due to image retention of dth and channel logo.

I dont think it would be an issue if we play a game for an hour or so and taking a break for some other game with different static image. I personally dont play one game for more than an hour unless I'm having a great BF3 MP session.

Just being careful during first few hours would see you through. LCD/LED do have a lot of lag so I've read. I notice lag on my current LCD TV during MP, but not sure if it is network lag or what - still I've 0.8 as my K/D ratio which is ok. Doesnt matter on single player much.
