Please refer my ST50 thread. I have no IR issue.

So, there is definitely some problem with DTH operators and plasma.

So, there is definitely some problem with DTH operators and plasma.

Most of them are paranoid about IR, rather than actually affected by IR. I am using my 43E490 in a rather casual manner (in terms of the posts in this forum) for nearly one month now. I have set all the picture settings to around 50% (for pleasant viewing). I also have instructed my family to switch channels during commercial breaks. IMO, these will be sufficient to avoid any IR.
