plasma screen of PS50C550 samsung

hey guys...i'm new to this forum...
i have a 50" samsung PS50C550 plasma screen wall mounted...
it works just fine
but when the screen is switched off an viewed at a particular angle close to the tv with the help of some light...
i can see soo many small and large random lines(scratches)...
its brand new...
none of the line show up when the tv is ON...
i'm still under my warranty...
so can anyone pl tell me whether this is normal or i have a problem here...
ps: i use a very soft cloth(meant for lcd screen) to wipe it once a week or so...

Are they permanant ... Ask the service engineer to come and check. Sometimes it could be lines of reflection.... Check that as well by making the room dark.... However report to samsung ask the engineer to check ?

My same TV is in the process of Refund... Samsung service is very bad (Personally I feel or it is one time experience with me) ...
 
^^yup, Samsung does that time to time...I had a 26" PC monitor T260 which had some power problems later around 10 months of usage, and since it was unavailable, they provided upgrade option and i got the Samsung 46B550.
 
why refund? they couldnt resolve your problem?

Nope they dont even want to replace the TV . They just wanna refund... I said fine as long as u dont depreciate I am ok taking money .. But its getting delayed almost 2 months I completed the formalities for refund still running behind customer service.

remember they sold me a display piece of the 550?? well they refused to replace it and were adamant and refunded the money.i have a feeling the model has been discontinued cause i looked for 2 weeks and couldn't find one, any idea on that?? i finally got my money back and got the 6500.

Lucky you.....They are testing my patience , somewhere I will loose it and will file a case in consumer court against them . Been recording all my conversations with them.

i think you should be careful in dealing with them. they said that payment will be by cheque and the tv will be collected when the cheque is given.. what if the cheque bounces?? i think you should pressurize your dealer thats how i got mine processed fast. if ur dealer dont listen nicely threaten him. not with legal action but with sheer physical force. hope you get your money back

I will sue samsung bigtime if cheque bounces... I have all email conversations from samsung partner manager.... one more week... Dealer has nothing to do now as the time crossed 3 months....

Can u post pics of your wall mount

From the description it looks like they have not installed slim mount

Other mounts are not supposed to be fitting this model

I am suspecting if the wrong mount is putting pressure on tv screen :-(

Sorry for the confusion, I miss read your model, I think for your model the mount will be normal one only as it's C550 ( I misread it as c6500)
