Please Advise buying speakers....

Hi All,

I am having Yamaha rxv675 AV receiver and my room size is 10x19 (feet), seating position is 15 feet away from TV. I am impressed with Pioneer sp fs52 5.1 reviews (but not auditioned), Could you please suggest is these speakers go well with my amp and room dimensions...I prefer (60%music and 40%movies)..


I am having another option, I got a very good deal from local distributor for Mordaunt short mezzo6(50k) and I have auditioned this with Marantz, they are very impressive. Now I am confused between Pioneer sp fs52 vs Mordaunt short mezzo6.


Could you please suggest if is it worth buying mezzo over pioneer 5.1 and later add surrounds and sub

Mezzo 6 at 50 k pricing is very sweet. I think you shld pair those with your yamaha receiver and see how the combination sounds and decide.

If you are looking for speakers to pair with yamaha you can consider the following brands with eyes closed:

Mordaunt short
Tannoy
Wharfdale
B&W (I wish I could afford one)
Monitor Audio
...and many more

My vote is for mezzo6.

I want to go for Mezzo but I am not sure if I get mezzo series center, Sub and surrounds later on, do we need to have same set of speakers (drivers) to get overall quality Sound?


I am confused, please advise...
