I would suggest you to import a bdp like Toshiba bdx3200 from amazon uk or de and make it region free by applying region free firmware. Some of our FMs have done this for below 10K, IIRC.
Yes I have brought from amazon.de thru my friend and made it region free. I think one of our FM "Krishnenduk" brought it from amazon.uk and did the same. Infact I followed him on this. Also I think amazon.de does not deliver to India for this particular model.

I have tried with amazon uk/de they said will not supply to india then i have got the quote from Amazon us through ICCworld shop abroad. Since iam buiying first time through online, Pls find below quote. & suggest me how to make it region free & where in Bangalore?

Yes, the Toshiba sounds a lot better than Philips.
