Plz help to setup with onkyo 3300

Hi experts,
recently bought 3300 and the installation is done. yesterday i played the original DVD movie die hard4. i am not satisfied with the o/p wch i got. i believe the setup is not correct (eg movie mode and base and stereo adjustment). plz advice me how do i adjust by own. was is different for DTH? i have airtel HD with some HD channels.
