Power supply for AV systems

Is it advisable to connect a voltage stabilizer for our expensive AV equipment? I have a spare 0.5 KVA Blue bird stabilizer previous used for the fridge. The last time I used a CVT (Constant voltage stabilser) to my earlier CRT TV which seemed to have caused a bigger issue and had to isolate it immediately.

0.5 KVA is a very low capacity stab. I suggest using one that can support equipment like air-conditiners.
