The base models BX and CX series prices reduced by 4.5-5k few days back. Its time for new 2012 models and right time to grab the old models :yahoo:

It looks the reductions are across the lineup. Even EX and NX series seems to cost less than before.

40ex720 is for 66900/- at letsbuy and 40 ex520 for 57490/-

I just found Sony KDL40EX520 for 59900/- at Vijay Sales & Chroma in Mumbai.

Have not bought it since I am getting inclined towards an LCD instead of an LED. No point in paying extra for marketing hype! (my personal views, not wanting to debate here )

LED = backlight

LCD uses two types of backlights, cfl and led

led is efficient, does not lose brightness over time as fast as cfl.
Does not attract bugs as it does not emit infrared.

Understand the tech first before decisions =)
