Hello Guys,

I finally managed to get a demo of the Samsung 64D8000 plasma at Samsung's Flagship store, R-city Mall -Ghatkopar. I am pretty close to finalizing the model.

They are offering it for:

1. 219,000/- (with 2 no's 3D glasses, 4 no's Shrek 3D titles, soundbar with sub-woofer, Samsung blue-ray player (no idea about the model) and a 26 inch Samsung LED TV (no idea about the model)

2. 201,000/- (with all goodies listed above but without the 26 inch LED TV and the blue ray player)

whereas

Alpha, Irla is offering the TV (with 2 no's 3D glasses, 4 no's Shrek 3D titles, soundbar with sub-woofer) for 1.87 and is willing to reduce 7k if i do not wish to have the soundbar with sub-woofer (if would anyway need a dedicated HT system).

I am keen in going ahead with Alpha's deal of 1.80 without the sound bar and woofer.

Kindly confirm if anyone has heard about a better deal. Thanks in Advance.

i got the demo at samsung's showroom. Its ridiculous to hear that those guys had absolutely no clue about the peeling issues with that model. Ignorance is bliss !!

Hi, friends, it's my post in this forum. I'm also looking for a 40 inch LCD. I have already looked the Sony BX 420, LG KL340, Samsung 550 Series. I want to purchase any one these sets. Which one is the best? I'm going to place the LCD in very bright room, it got windows straight across the place from where I'm going to place the LCD.

So, please advise which LCD is the best in the 40" size? Whether the three LCDs above mentioned are good? if good which one to purchase? I got into many shops and more or less they quote the same price. The prices are

1) Sony BX 420 - Rs. 48,000/-
2) LG KL430 - Rs. 45,000/-
3) Samsung 550 - Rs. 47,000/-

All the rates are negotiable. So, they will reduce the price upto 2k.

Please advice.

The Samsung 550 series is a LCD. The exact Model No. LA40D550K1R. In the Samsung website its priced at Rs. 51,000/- In Salem, Tamil Nadu the selling price is around Rs. 45000/-.

Please help me in choosing the LCD. Of the above mentioned three LCDs which one is the best?

Here's the offer I got, for a min of 2 sets. But have to buy immediately.

42GT20: 50k + 2 glasses
42ST30: 69k + 2 glasses! Yes 2 GLASSES!

Agree to Kittu - especially for outdated models as stocks will be limited. I had created a thread for Pune group buy - very less or close to no response.
Further as members are in a phase were many say tentatively yes but its likely they switch to some other model may be to some other dealer for better /more suited offer and there is nothing wrong in that.
