Problem in fixing Shure Cartridge to my Technics Headshell

Hi,
whatever you do the cartridge has to sit tight on the head shell otherwise you are going to rui both you stylus and lp. You have keep in mind that this guy in the video talked about a procedure he didn't finish it. He needs to put the needle back into the cartridge adjust the overhang with a protractor and then finaly tighten the screws as much as possible. If in your case neither the cartridge nor the headshell allowing you to do this then you are only going to endup ruining some of your records and won't get any good playback experience. :)
Thanks.

Am aware of that.Thats the reason I am asking whether there is any fixed rule as where the cartridge needs to be fixed? In the farther side or the nearer side of the headshell.

You need to fix the cartridge somewhere around the middle of the headshell, but only a bit loosely at the outset, so that you are in a position to slide it forwards or backwards with mild pressure. Then you need to use a tracking angle protractor (you can download one from vinylengine.com, and print it out on any PC printer), to adjust the null points setting at the inner and outer grooves, by lowering the stylus tip at the position indicated on the protractor, whilst making sure that the cartridge body is parallel to the lines indicated on the diagram. You'll need to slide the cartridge fore or aft to get this correct. Once you've got it right, you can then tighten the cartridge screws firmly. That spot will be valid for that particular cartridge. If were to change your cartridge down the line, you'll need to go through the same procedure once again.
