problem with lg bd550

i have a lg blueray player bd550. the problem is its not played mkv file via dvd or usb. what should i do guys? any solution

That is highly unlikely. Even many media players do not support DTS MA and Dolby True HD.

I've tried and it does not support lossless format but rather plays it as ordinary DTS format. Even the WD media player does not support DTS MA or True HD.

Buy a BDP only if you want to watch Blu-Ray disks. If your main source is downloaded files, then a media player is your best bet.

WD player and most Media players plays FLAC but sound quality is not good. You would need DAC for excellent output for FLAC. As baijuxavior mentioned BDP is required only if you would like to play Blu-ray disks and if you can afford to buy them at regular intervals, otherwise a Media player is the best option for downloaded files.
