well surprisingly most speakers upto the 80k - 100k mark have pretty crappy crossover components.
Thats why a crossover upgrade can do a world of good. However its not cheap and can cost upward of 5-7.5k on the mod.
Even the crappiest components can last for years. I have a vintage Pioneer which has one hell of a crappy crossover ... 20 years and still going strong..
The world of difference it can bring to the same loudspekaer is phenomenal.

There are a lot of folks who have done Crossover upgrades on speakrs like Totem, Klipsch etc .... a google search will give you results....
It will set your brain into overdrive.
Looking at the cross-over i am sure its components should be atleast 10% tolerances for inductors, capacitors and even resistors. Hence upgrade will be difficult unless you have the original circuit diagram with the component values.
