I am planning to buy an entry level home theatre i.e. Pioneer HTP-01, which is priced Rs.16,449 at Reliance Digital and like to use with my Videocon HD STB 2222 model which has dolby sound through HDMI.

Can anybody tell me what is the HD video and audio quality passed through (HDMI input to HD LED TV & speakers) Pioneer HTP-01 AVR. Will it be wise to buy this home theater as I have tight budget.

Video quality will be the same. Audio quality depends on the speaker system which you have to audition yourself. You will get 5.1 DD sound in a few HD channels, for other channels including SD the audio will be virtual 5.1.

Many thanks dear.At present I am enjoing 5.1 channel surround sound through Audio gear decoder from my D2H HD STB via Belkin coaxial cable, it is working something OK, but I think some sounds are missing from its output and after use of the same it is presumed that standalone decoder cannot be alternative of good Home theater with AVR.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
