I would like to request all those of you who have bought the 64F8500 and have gotten an Ultra Slim Wall Mount installed from Samsung, to please verify the model# of the Wall mount? Thanks in advance.
Has no one other than 'Blasto' got the Ultra Slim Wall Mount?
Is this the Wall Mount -> Ultra Slim Wall Mount WMN3000CX | SAMSUNG Canada
Or this -> WMN450M | SAMSUNG Canada
@BLASTO Thank you for the reply. The model # is of great help. Now if only I could get someone at Samsung to even listen. Samsung has to be the company with the worst customer service in the country, at least amongst the larger companies.
Does anyone here with 64F8500 have their TV installed using the WMN450M. I am not sure if it is even meant for the 64F8500. Unfortunately there is not much info on the net for it either.

The Samsung Mini Wall Mount is designed for 32-65" Samsung TVs from B through H/HU series. It allows you to mount the TV on the wall with an extremely low profile design. You can also pivot the TV to the left or right to make sure it is level.
This mount allows you to mount a wide range of Samsung TVs. A one-time installation places your TV in a straight and sturdy position
Nearly seamless design - extremely slim depth of 0.7 - 1.6" from the wall
This mount is VESA compatible, so you can hang any standard TV with VESA mounting holes onto the wall mount. Recommended for compatible Samsung models only
Pivot your TV left or right to adjust it according to the setup of your room. Adjust your wall mount the same way you would adjust a picture frame, using the back stand to tilt your TV upward. Use it to easily plug in cables on the side and behind your TV
Thanks for your response. Nice to have confirmation that the WMN450M works fine for the 64F8500. I sourced the TV thru a Greater Kailash (Delhi) Samsung dealer.i bought 3 of these and i got WMN450M wall mount, btw where did you get it for 1.66 lakhs? that is an insane price
I am quite sure the WMN3000C was meant for only 60" & 64" F8500 PDPs. The WMN3000B is the mount intended for the smaller 51" F8500 PDP.I got the Samsung WMN3000C Mount for my 50" Samsung plasma i bought a few years ago but this WMN450M looks like a much better choice IMO so i think if you were offered WMN450M then you should not be worried at all.
First of all, I am quite sure the WMN3000CX & the WMN3000C are the same mount, just different numbers for different markets. Just like the TV itself PN64F8500 in the US,while it is PS64F8500 in India. Secondly the WMN3000C/WMN3000CX are specifically for the PDP 64F8500. You are right though that it is a discontinued wall mount. But then, so is the 64F8500.Also Samsung WMN3000C is an old model, i think it is a 2009 mount so it is obvious they pushed it until the stocks got over to make way for the newer mounts.WMN3000CX is the newer version of WMN3000C and this is mostly used for television which are ultra slim like the LED back lit LCD's
It might serve you well to first get to know the reason why I made the statement. For one, it had nothing to do with being offered the WMN450M instead of the WMN3000c. Why I referred to Samsung having the WORST customer service is because, that for almost 2 months now, I have been unable to even get Samsung to respond to my complaints, let alone actually resolve them. So what is the complaint? I had bought a 64F8500 for a friend in December last year. Since I had already pre-warned my friend about the Ultra Slim Wall Mount, he called me when the Samsung installation person came to install the TV. Upon my clarifying with him it turned out that he was planning on installing a regular wall mount and not a Ultra Slim one. He then told me he did not know it was this TV that was to be installed and that he will return with a different wall mount the next day. Unfortunately I had to travel the next day and was not reachable. The next day the Samsung guy came again and installed what he told my friend was the only mount that is sanctioned by Samsung for this TV. My friend took a picture of the wall mount packaging and mailed it to me. But by the time I accessed my email it was too late as the person had already installed the mount and left. After I got back a couple of days later I contacted the dealer, who simply washed his hands of the matter. Ever since then I have been trying to contact Samsung via their page on Facebook and via their Twitter handle. Having posted on their Facebook many, many times and also tweeted to them multiple times with no luck. After every few posts & tweets, I am repeatedly asked to give them a contact number for them to contact. But no one ever does. And then the whole process is repeated over and over again. The whole cyclical & identically repetitive manner seems to be almost a pre planned way of tiring a customer to just stop complaining and or contacting them. Believe you me, I personally can't imagine any other company first of all cheating their customer like this and then not even responding to appeals to address the matter, let alone actually resolve the complaint.I am not sure how you arrived to that conclusion, just because they give you a particular type of wall mount don't make them any where close to calling worse, most brands are offering really old style wall mount these and does not have the different choice of wall mounts Samsung offers so in my long terms experience Samsung has the best customer service in India closely matched by LG, Panasonic has been the worst experience for me, they took 2 months to replace a top of the line microwave i bought from them which went dud in a week.@BLASTO Thank you for the reply. The model # is of great help. Now if only I could get someone at Samsung to even listen. As much as I appreciate you taking the trouble of responding to my queries, I find your condescending comments somewhat rude or at the very least, totally unnecessary. Also I merely posted a query. I'm not sure why you read it as a complaint. For your information, I did as a matter of fact search quite a bit online but was unable to find any clear cut & convincing info that it was meant for the PDP 64F8500. If you were able to find the information, good for you. And thank you for providing it here. But I'm sure it could have been done without the condescension.not much info on the net? before complaining i guess you should have taken the time to read the information which is available right before your eyes.I bought the TV (?166,000). But the only Slim Wall mount that Samsung now has is the Mini Wall Mount WMN450M. The installation person claims that they no longer have the Ultra Slim Wall Mount WMN3000CX in stock. Does anyone here with 64F8500 have their TV installed using the WMN450M. I am not sure if it is even meant for the 64F8500. Unfortunately there is not much info on the net for it either.
The pic clearly reads F series and PDP, upto 65" so what are we missing here my friend?
I'm not quite sure why you have provided the relevance of this bit of information. Other than maybe as proof that information even on Samsung packaging may not be totally accurate, as is the case here. This is a customer review of WMN3000AX from amazon UK.
Samsung WMN3000A: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
Product discription is misleading, does not fit Samsung 8000 series although it states that it is compatible with 2013 ES6500 series AND ABOVE !!!
Are you able to move the TV to the left or right within a certain range if needed to adjust centering of the TV on the wall. Also, can the TV be adjusted by moving the TV slightly up & down to adjust the TV if it's installed slightly crooked? With the Ultra Slim Mounts (WMN3000C) it is possible to do both. By the way the WMN3000C was substantially more expensive than the WMN450M.i bought 3 of these and i got WMN450M wall mount
By the way the WMN3000C was substantially more expensive than the WMN450M.
That's sad. Because with the WMN3000C the ability to be able to move the TV left or right & also be able to pivot the TV a little to adjust for errors in installation of the mount. The WMN3000C is truly a more flexible mount.the tv cannot be moved left to right or right to left because i think in this mount it is not required but WMN3000C using which i have my 50" C6500 mounted requires this as it is quite a task to make the TV stable using this mount.
WMN450M has two options, one is closer to the one than the other if you opt to be mounted a little further away then you can tilt the TV up and down.
Actually the PN64F8500 is still over ?3 lakh in the US. Where can one get the WMN3000C for less than the WMN450M? In fact even finding it for sale online is becoming difficult.WMN3000C was expensive couple of years ago, now it is available for a similar price as WMN450M online of even cheaper, just like the fact a 64 inch plasma would have cost upwards 3 or 4 lakhs a few years ago but that aint the case these days.
Based on your feedback on the WMN450M and compared to my experience with the WMN3000C type mounts, I think the WMN3000C is not only easier to install, but it also allows for a greater margin of error in installation. The WMN450M needs for holes drilled, whereas the WMN3000C only requires two holes. Also, in the event the mount is installed a little crooked or off center, it can easily be compensated for by moving the TV left or right.Personally i feel WMN450M looks like a much more complicated and sturdier mount with better functionality than WMN3000C and it also looks like an expensive mount than WMN3000C, i think my WMN3000C is made in Korea, may the reason why it was expensive back then but i guess none of the mounts are made in Korea these days.
