Recommendation for Powered Sub woofer

Dear FM,

Need your valuable recommendation for a Powered Sub Woofer which will be paired with JBL MX150 (Table Top) Music Player. Requirement is 100% for music Only.

Budget is 30K..Please recommend

Pre-owned SVS SB 1000 or any other sealed sub comes to mind.

Rajiv..try finding rythmik subs that are exceptional for music .. little pricey though but serve well in long run for music

The sealed units from SVS, Rythmik and REL are considered better performers for music. With 30k, you can take pre-owned route, but these subs barely appear in the sale section.

On the other hand, there are VFM ported designs like Taga Harmony, Polk and BIC America, with fine tuning i believe they can perform well for music too, you may have to spend some time playing with placement and crossover settings. Sealed designs are the most forgiving, so it's easier to get the positioning and crossover correct.

30k is a low budget for a good sub like svs, rythmik, rel. You need to strech to 50k plus for a pre-owned one.
