I guess most of these cd vs vinyl debate starts because of poor mastering quality of most commercially available CDs. If well mastered, CDs are as enjoyable as vinyl.

I agree! But unfortunately I have only 2-3 CDs of such quality, all of them UK pressings.

Some SACD sound very close to vinyl or better but that's only a handful of beautifully recorded ones like Gaucho, Miles Davis, Slow hand, When I look in your eyes, brothers in Arms....etc etc but old Hindi as pointed out here very rightly sounds awesome through vinyl any day, i was tapping my feet away even listening to Burning Train or Shootbangla......in Kolkata at a connoisseur s place. It is only because the CDs are mastered in a bad way and a good transparent system brings it out and bleeds you to death.I t is exactly here why the Vinyl comes in to rescue.

Ref Navinsinha's request for phono stages upwards of 50K a little earlier.

I am planning to audition an all tube phono stage made by Xindak. There are a couple of decent reviews, it seems like a standard all tube affair. at a reasonable price. The importer is getting a sample next month and I will hopefully be able to check it out at home. Its mm only, but step up can be ordered separately.

Just thought I would share the info, since it's not a particularly well known product.
