Hi FMs

I was looking out for a refrigerator. The criteria were
1)300 litres double door
2) maximum warranty
3) budget around 25k
4) NO Samsung/lg/whirlpool

I was interested in the bottom freezer models but not many manufacturers appears to be making them. There were models from Panasonic and Haier. Hitachi and Bosch were way too expensive.

One particular model caught my attention is
HAIER HRB-3404PSL-H

It has got

1)12 years warranty on compressor
2) DC inverter compressor
3) priced 30k in vijay sales (without bargain price)

All i want to know is

1) anyone using Haier? How is the brand (since it's Chinese)? Any issues with after sales service?

2) it has got an inverter compressor but also got 4 star BEE rating. Are inverters beyond five stars? I saw some Samsung and lg models inverter refrigerator with star ratings. Is it any marketing gimmick Or am I missing something?

Here is the link

Check the power consumption figures, type of compressor used. This brand is not even there overseas, would personally stay away from Chinese stuff. Good luck in getting warranty honoured. There is a huge difference between MNC products made in China versus a chinese manufacturer making its own products there. All the designs, specs, are all copied from MNC's, no idea about Quality control either.

I beg to differ. Haier and Midea are two Chinese companies that supply ACs, refrigerators and other domestic appliances to renowned multinationals. So, you can't discard Haier just because it's a Chinese brand. FYI, Hon Hai Precision aka Foxconn, a Taiwanese origin Chinese company is the biggest contract manufacturer of electronic products. IAG is a Chinese company that owns and manufactures major British speakers.

Someone I know is using Haier side by side refrigerator and air conditioners and is very happy with the brand.

Taiwanese companies have superior QC and hence they command a higher premium price compared to the mainland.
IAG just buys old brands and sells them, not an innovator perse.
Midea only sells in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, India, Egypt, and most countries in southeast Asia. It is next to impossible for them to break into Europe and North America (the ultimate citadel of power and prestige, like it or not)

Midea is an OEM of renowned AC brands. Europeans and North American are using Midea product without knowing it :ohyeah:
BTW, do you anyway mean Whrafefdale, Quad, Luxman, Mission, audiolab no longer make quality products, as these brand are owned by IAG Group?
IAG Group

FYI, Behringer, a German brand, no longer manufactures any product in Germany, all Behringer products are made in China now.
Heco speakers are also made in China.
See the link, Heco used to make entire product line in Germany, but from 2014, they started manufacturing speakers in China. see the link, you will understand, what should be the actual price of Heco Victa Prime 702

Wharfedale and the others were already great brands, IAG just acquired them, so no real value as such. It would have been telling if IAG had created these products in the first place and obtained the hard earned reputation by themselves. HECO, a harsh speaker system series, less said the better. I am not suggesting everything made in the west is very good, but when they make good products, no one comes close. Unfortunate as it is, they are the real innovators and inventors, everyone else copies them.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
