Repair for Nakamichi 681 ZX

Today evening, while playing, suddenly one channel stopped. Though the deck is playing, the SQ has dropped considerably. Can any FM suggest a good repairer for Naks in Mumbai please. I love my Nak would definitely like it to be repaired. Thanks!

Glad to be of help. Sanjay is a nice guy & will surely do his bit to bring your NAK back to its glory. I got my NAK600 serviced by him couple of years back. Need to get it out & play some tapes

I love the sound of tapes, though I am a vinyl fan. I recorded some cassettes from LP on a Norge deck way back in 1979 and just to be safe, copied on another tape. Even today the cassette plays so well and with blindfold listening I can't make out if it LP or a cassette.
BTW where are you located? I am at Wadala.

this is vinay this side....would you happen to know any expert on Technics graphic equaliser. I have aTechnics Sh_8055(12+12)...which i had bought as a used one. it has a problem of inconsistent output on right channel.:sad:
could you happen to suggest some help...mumbai,delhi or bangalore not an issue

Hi Vinay,

You may get in touch with Sanjay regarding the same. He runs an authorised service centre for quite a few electronic co's & carries out service & repairs for all types AV Electronics, incl PJ's/TV's

Have no clue of other good technicians/service centres outside mumbai, other than hearing good things about a certain Mr. Kalam based in Delhi & Mr. Saeed in Chennai, but have never personally met them or got anything repaired by them either. Maybe you can get recommendations from FM's about them & other experts, who are in or nearby your city.

You may keep Sanjay as a last resort if you do not find someone good in your part of our country.
