Restoration , wooden body Of Valve Radio

Hi..
I have a Holland Philips valve radio with me in working condition.. now the wooden body of the radio degan to damage slightly. Is there any ideas to restore it back like painting, polishing... and how can this do... Please guide me...

Is it made of wood or plywood? If it's wood, you may be able to
clean it and use filler to cover any insect holes or other damage,
and then varnish it.
If it's old plywood which is delaminating, you could probably try
gluing the damaged area with fevicol if the damage is not too much.
Worst case, you may have to get a new cabinet made.

Its made of plywood and the outer layer is completely delaminating. the problem is with the outer layer and from the inner it's strong and neat. I dont know weather the outer layer is painted or lacquer polished...if the outer layer will completely peeled off , then will get a neat cabinet :). But then what will be done.. painting or polish??? methods....
 
Rajeev Could you post a pic.
In my personal opinion restoration should be done with same colour/texture/veneer/lamination as was the original. Some Philips radios were painted and lacquered.
