Folks,
I am looking for a way to get Dolby Atmos content through streaming devices. It is not an ideal situation to keep buying new BD Discs and take up physical space (Worst if I continue, I may get banned at home
).
I know none of them provide Atmos content on streaming as of now. But with a possible future if either Google play movies or Apple iTunes or Netflix/Amazon prime supports atmos soon, what will be a better device of choice.
I dont want the xbox, nvidia shield route as I am not a gamer and I dont want my kids to enter gaming. So I narrowed down to Roku and Apple TV , though I have a Fire TV Stick which I am pretty sure will not support Atmos due to its hardware limitation.
Roku is just 99 $ but not sure how it will work in India. Apple TV is 179$ but popular services will work on it without a problem. I also read Apple TV will support Atmos soon. Roku already has pass through.
Or do I just grind my teeth and wait out a bit more?
