AFAIK in general GPU cards dont have Analog out so no DAC is part of GPU. But it does Audio pass through HDMI so you target can pick both video and audio with HDMI.

Only HDMI and Display port outputting digital audio. Some cheap analog DAC will be integrated on the motherboard.

Yes, the HDMI audio passthrough is terrible. It's like plugging your display port to motherboard instead of GPU to get display & assume everything's fine
