Ladies/Gents,
I plan to source a Marantz PM5004 from UK. Does anyone have any experience in running amplifiers rated for UK power supply(230V 50/60 HZ) in India ?

Cheers!

We use the same specs for our electronics/electrical appliances. After all, it's British legacy that we have adopted.

Apart from the above the other examples are we have left hand drive vehicles in India, we drink tea where as if you go to the US, they have right hand drive vehicles, they drink coffee etc.....

Even the round-pin plugs and sockets are British! They were still standard in my UK childhood. Of course, we lagged behind (I don't suppose my parents saw any point in rewiring the house) but I didn't have the flat-pin plugs until a house move in 1967.

Speaking of which, mstillalive, you'll have to use adapters, international sockets, or chop off the the UK plug and replace with Indian-style round-pin.
