samsung 3d kit ps51d5500- lucky or unlucky?

hi due to shipment delay of ps51d5500,( i ordered and paid in june 2nd week- yet to arrive,ps: it may reach me in hours/ few days )i was given 3d kit pack first
un fortunately my d5500 bluray was mixed up and got c6900 model.. my friend samsung manager has asked to keep it at no extra cost..
3d 2011 bluray glass+ 5 bluray titles and megamind 3d has been couriered to my address. will reach tuesday..
while comparing specifications of two models...
1. d5500 is 2011 model vs 6900 2010model..
2. d5500 has samsung hub vs 6900 has internet @Tv
3.d5500 has 2d to 3d conversion feature..
4. 2 usb port support
but
1. c6900 has 1 gb inbuilt memory
2. c 6900 has dts-hd-ma decoding
3.wifi adapter is included.. can be used with my tv also.
4. bd profile is 2.0
no idea which is good?

No idea about the player, but new 2011 3D glasses are bluetooth based, and 2010 3D glasses might not be compatible with 2011 Samsung 3D TVs. Just check. And 2011 3D glasses are much better and lighter.

May be its better to reject it and get the newer model BDP and 2011 glasses. As the dealer seems to be pushing the old stock.

Friend,where did u order it from?...that it is taking such a lot of time....more than a month for delivery after purchase? & where in India r u located?

I would prefer C6900 for 7.1 analog output, DTS MA decoding. Essentially only the user interface is changed and probably we will get more apps for Smart Hub in 2011 model. However D5500 is one of the lowest end model of 2011 and C6900 is among the top 2010 model which is both stylish and feature rich.

Talking of 2 USB port, you could get a cheap USB hub and can extend the one USB port to several as I confirm it support atleast 2 devices with several partitions including NTFS, FAT16/32. It supports USB HDD as well when we take additional USB power from any other spare USB port like from TV or HD STB, etc. USB HDDs having external power supply works without issues anyway.

2D to 3D conversion is available in 2010 BR players as well including in C6900. This feature is not very useful for most of the TVs as its available anyway in current TVs.

thanks prankey... when i ordered kit i was begging to give me 6900, got convenience for 5500, suddenly when i got 6900.. could not decide, i strongly take ur advise and sticking to 6900.. i connected 2 tb hard disc it played 60% of files... it couldnot play avatar bluray file which was 50 gb.. but i had seen it to play in my friend tv ps51d4 series hd ready tv. just updated player and played minale song on you tube with no hitches... want to try out more but since tv is not there waiting for it... hopefully i will have mega weekend...
