Dear Friends

I'm now testing the 40C6200 LED by Samsung ,
I'd put USB with a Blueray-RIP Movie in MKV Format

I'd noticed with my bare eyes that there is scenes where frames seems to be faster than normal , that gives you a fake effect ...i mean ..it shouldnt be like that :(

I wonder if i can change anything in the TV to Play things in Normal Frame Rate

Guys...i'm really so sad i need ur help
The Movie seems like some parts of it has fastforward..cant understand why !

no its not like that ,
i found many Samsung Owners sometimes complain from this effect , you feel as if this was shoot with a Video Camera ..as if it is a home video ...

this appears specially when the camera moves around ..i dunt know if you get what i mean

I'm just so much hesitated , i wanna take an action and buy an LED :(

I hope you can understand ..its been years of comparison

I've read on a forum that if the Motionflow or whatever Samsung calls it is turned off this "Soap Opera Effect" doesnt show. So try turning that feature off and check it out.
regards

It is 2 years old, but from what the OP has explained the problem still persists in his TV
@wookeii. For whatever its worth you get quite a bit of forums discussing this problem. Google "Soap opera effect of Samsung" and you can get to them. try your luck from one of the solutions given.

HTH

OP - That smooth movement which you are talking about is techincally called de-juddering. This is not a fault with the TV or with the file. This is feature of your TV. Just try watching avatar blu ray and you will never forget that experience in your life. Believe me it will be life like. When i bought my sony cx52 i ran the same 17gb avatar blu ray rip. But the movie was normal. My cousin's samsung has such a feature. To be frank i loved this feature. But i think normal movies wont appear appealing to the eyes and in fact some people may get irritated as in your case. If your TV is latest model then i think you may have an option to switch it off. I advise you to watch avatar (in blu ray quality) . You will never believe your eyes !!!. FYI This feature doesnt exist in all TVs.. The experience will be like watching a movie in 3d

Regarding this i have already created a thread... GO here...
