Hi,

I have the Samsung LED TV 46" Model no. D-6000, which was purchased some 11 months ago. I am facing a unique problem with this TV. After viewing for some 1/2 an hour or so when I put off the TV by remote, it goes on stand-by as a normal thing. After say 1 hour or so if I again put it on, the TV does not starts, only the SAMSUNG Logo, starts flashing on and off. At this point of time, I cannot put off the TV through Remote, as a matter of fact, no button on remote works, as a result I have to put the TV off though the mains i.e. from wall. Then again when I start, the TV starts working as if nothing happened.

Well this does not happen always. It happens once in two days or so. I have complained the Samsung people, some engineer had come, and expressed that the problem should come in his presence, but is not possible, since the fault comes randomly.

The TV is connected through HDMI for Tata Sky. Also my WD player is connected to the TV through HDMI.

Let me point out, that this problem does appear while watching movies or listening songs through the WD media player (though I am not sure, I am trying to see if it appears after broadcast TV watching too). After watching some movie for 1 hour or listening songs for some 30 minutes, when I put off the WD player, as well as the TV, and if again I start, it does not come up, only flashing of the Samsung Logo. What might be the problem.

Need immediate help, since my warranty expires after 12 days.

Thanks and regards.

is there any screensaver/eco setting in your tv..maybe it's automatically appearing after 1 hr due to that reason..

I am a Samsung 46B6000 owner which is the same series (2009) model. C belongs to 2010 and D to 2011.

My TV has some horizontal line problem and while surfing to troubleshoot the same came to know about similar symptoms as you are having. It is usually due to some problem in the power supply board. The most common problem is the capacitors bulging or going bad. If it is in the warranty period call the service guys. If not open your TV and check for any bulged out caps.

Fortunately the repair comes cheap in case of a power supply problem.

How about buying extended warranty in any case to save yourself from all such problems in coming years....
