1. Received my 55 inch Samsung 55HU8500, non-curved 4K TV. The price came to 1.81 Lakhs and inluded 500 GB Hard disk with 4k video material and a Samusung Note 4 Tab (7 inch).

2. The Box had a thin tape all around and looked unopened, the tape had not wrinkles. I was naturally very afraid of getting a demo piece. This telly has a new magic remote on which only Info+Menu+Mute+Power sequence was available. That did not get me to service menu.

3. Anyway, the TV got into setup menu as a new TV is expected to do and that was a relief. The piece looked new, no dust, no scratch marks, no finger pints. But I wish I was able to get into the Service Menu!.

4. I am a Plasma guy and bought this LED TV for certain reasons. Blacks are good, colours are surprisingly good and there are tons and tons of calibration available. All video control artefacts such as local dimming, frame insertions etc can be fully user controllable.

5. Finally 4K is indeed a treat and 3d is clean with very good and convincing depth. 2D-3D conversion is good but not comparable to original 3D stuff.

6. The best part is that this TV does an excellent job in video upscaling. SD is horrible but anything 720p and above is upsaled very very beautifully.

7. Any one in the know of service menu for this TV?
