Samsung 55HU8500 TV

Hello all,

1. Am planning to buy this 55 inch 4K Samsung TV -- 55HU8500. The Deepavali offer price is 2.29 (with extras thrown in); Is this price right?

2. Secondly, what is the remote code to check the usage hours of this set?

I booked this TV (Samsung 55HU8500, Non-curved 4K 55" TV) for a price of 1.81 Lakhs, Samsung Tab-4 and 500 GB hard disk with 4K video material are thrown in extra. The TV will arrive in 2-3 three days. I have told the retailer that I will inspect the TV and the box has to be opened in my presence.

Please can some one tell me how to access service men on 55HU8500 to check usage hours. I shall be very, very much grateful.

Since nobody is replied I'm telling this which might help u.

Particularly for this UHD TV I don't know how to check. But you could first use the methods which I/we here used to check usage hours in an led TV. For ur information i'm mentioning below.

In standby mode press Info, menu, mute, power.
]Press down arrow till SVC
]press right arrow to open SVC menu
]press down arrow n press right arrow to open
U'll see the details
]press power button to end.

If u don't get info here, you may visit the showroom and check the above method in the same uhd there if it works or not. If not u need to wait for some uhd owners to chime-in or you could check them physically (browse the other thread on this subject in this forum).
Hope this may help u in a little way at least.

Thanks for the reply. Ofcourse, I intend to try out all that, but a specific, known method to check usage hours would be very nice. I do not want to fumble around with a remote in front of the sales people and show them that you are a novice. I am also taking a disk with me to check for dead pixels.

Please let me know if you chance upon the service-menu thing. Do you think I could talk to the local samsung service centre?
