Hi,

Found the Samsung BD-C6900 for INR15990 on letsbuy.com
got 3d, wifi, 7.1 ch analogue out, 1 gb memory etc etc...may be not the best in terms of performance, but looks like vfm.

think its a good buy? My budget is hovering below the INR 20K mark...any better suggestions...

thanks

cheers

If you're looking for a BDP with dual HDMI outs to connect to a non-3D capable receiver then you can try BD-6700. I got that for circa 18k from B&H. It also has 2D to 3D conversion. I'm quite impressed.

I am planning to sell my 10 months old BD C6900 for 13k in perfect condition with box and wifi

Message me if interested

I will be posting it in for sale section in few days

But if someone wants to grab before that u can contact me

c_prabhu,

thanks for the info. this might sound dumb, but whats B&H?

It is B&H Photo Video - B&H Photo Video Digital Cameras, Photography, Camcorders

Actually, you can look at Panasonic BDT-310 as well. It started off at $249 but has come down to $167.10 in a matter of 3-4 months.

They're both great players, I was looking for a 3D player with dual hdmi outs and I had to choose between them (Oppo 93 was out of my budget) and I went with Sammy only because it was available readily and 310 wasn't. HTH.

thanks for the offer. Would like to know your experience with this player - video, sound etc.

also, have you tried connecting a 500GB/1 TB hard drive to this player? does it work?

cheers

the player is great in all aspects, the picture and sound are great.

i have 2 500GB and 1 1TB NTFS - segate HDD's which i connect to it to play RIP's mainly bluray RIP's (MKV)

it plays almost all popular files flawlessly. i played even 30 to 40GB bluray MKV's

i stream the SD content using DLNA from my NAS and works very well.

Any one want to buy my player, can contact me.

why are you selling it?. got a better player with 7.1 ch analog out and <Rs.20k in mind, please suggest.

No point discussing this topic anymore...the product is not out of stock on letsbuy.com

thanks for your replies anyway...
Planning to go this way now: upgrade AVR (with HDMI)-> buy new blu-ray player (not depended on 7.1 ch analog outs)->live, listen and see happily ever after :D (at least till technology upgrades itself.!)

cheers

Better to try your luck on 3D starter kit which we can get around 19k. Some of us have got C6900 with the kit instead of D5500. I also find C6900 to be a better player as none of the current generation players look as good or has 7.1 or 5.1 Analog output.

You can try buying from here
Vintage Vision | DVD Players | Samsung BD-C6900

I think the quoted priced of 11990 is the lowest

I had ordered it some time back from Letsbuy.. but they said that it is out of stock and they offered some other model.
Ordered it again after 15 days and they said the same thing again.

Had to cancel it twice.

Prankey,
Does the 7.1/5.1 analog out work flawlessly with MKV files played from external hard disc with NTFS file system? Or does that it work only with bluray? Any limitations on other file systems like FAT32, UDF2.5? Thanks!
