I have a Samsung BD-H6500 Bluray. My apps and Smarthub have worked fine up until this past week and they will no longer open. When I try to open one, the little circle keeps turning endlessly and after a while I am returned to the home screen. I checked my network connection and it is fine. I am able to open up my browser and use it, so I am definitely connected to the web. I also have a Samsung TV and have been able to use my apps fine, so I am concluding that it is only the apps on the Bluray that are problematic. Can someone let me know how to get the Bluray apps working again?
Thanks in advance

Re: Samsung BD-H6500 Bluray Apps Problem - SOLVED

After copying all of my settings down, I did a hard reset and it fixed the problem. Now all of my apps on the Blu Ray are back to working.

Here are the instructions for doing a hard reset:

I hope that this solution helps others, who may encounter the same problem with their apps not working :D

Hi,

Good to know you were able to fix the problem by your self. :)

I am also looking to buy bluray player and I have in mind is this Samsun H-6500 and Pioneer 170. How the player is and how the Video and Audio quality of this? Is it possible to share some screen shots?

The video quality is excellent. There is something in settings that you have to set for audio. The default is 2 channel stereo, so you need to go into settings to set it to surround sound (assuming that you have a 5 or 7 channel audio system). We just started streaming Netflix through the Bluray and it looks awesome!

Hope that helps

Does that play almost all video and audio format played via USB? even DTSMA Bitstreaming from USB?
Can you compare BD-H6500 with something like Pioneer?

Sorry, I do not know because I do not use the USB function.
