Wiim ultra vs pro/plus as room correction as transport only

Kind of confused just for fun i want to try wiim ( and now utlra is avlbl), purely as digital transport but use Wiim room correction/peq filtrs , i.e dont need/want to use DAC , will connect thru optical/coaxial out to my Amp.
In this mode can i still enable peq so pure digital room correction
And why comparing ultra is in case i do need to ise dac for anu reasons is ultra worth spending more , will a new product/ processor will get me better room correction as more power
And purely as a DAC anyone tested both and confirm pro/plus or is good enough, my sources are only streaming and yes im aware of airplay support in ultra not worried about that( as i see most of apps have google cast function supported in music

Anyone willing to loan /experiment for few days wiim devices in bangalore (anyone pro/plus/ultra)

Heart says pro/plus but is good enough for fun / occasional use and cheaper the better

WiiM Pro Plus has an upgraded DAC than the Wiim Pro. It also has better processing power hence feels snappier in operation. I went With the pro plus because of the DAC. I am sad to report that I was dissapointed. I Did AB testinbg with my FiiO k9 AKM and there was a lot of difference. I wont recommend inbuilt DAC of The WiiM Pro Plus. A external good quality Dac is always advisable. DACs bring out the best in your system in my experience if used wisely.

If you don't want the I2S support and a screen, trust me there is no need of WIIM Ultra. You are going to connect it once and forget it and just use the mobile app. Instead of ultra the remaining amount can be spent on a good DAC.

what they are offering now is more than enough and no more power is needed in case of streamers. IMHO you can go with the PRO Plus without a second thought if you don't need the extra features offered by the Ultra.

Thanks i have a rotel system with great dac in built, all i m looking is using peq/room correction feature on digital transport / outputs and as far as i can see it will work either use inbuilt dac or dont , still seeking a loaner if possible in bangalore
